Terry Lon Boren, age 79, of Garland, TX, passed away on July 29, 2021. He was born January 16, 1942, in Terrell, TX, to Cecil Derwood Boren and Louise (Harper) Boren. Terry served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Rodgers Baptist Church in Garland, TX. His presence will be deeply missed. Terry is survived by his loving wife: Mary Boren of Garland, TX; son: Bo Boren and wife Rebecca of Little River, TX; sister: Sue Lemons of Wylie, TX; grandchildren: Erin Boren, Ethan Erwin, Ellie Rose Erwin, and Collins Boren; and great grandchild: Jett Liberty. He was preceded in death by his son: James Allen Boren; brother: Gerry Don Boren; sister: Patsy Ann Lovell; and his parents. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Rodgers Baptist Church, 801 W Buckingham Rd, Garland, TX 75040, officiated by Pastor Ron Thomas. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday, August 2, 2021, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location
