Robbie “Rob” Alan Kerkes, age 59, of Rowlett, TX, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Rob was born on October 9, 1961, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, to Gary Kerkes and Mary Kerkes-Metz. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and later moved to Texas in 1980. He was the assistant general manager for the At Home Distribution Center in Garland, TX, for the past 12 years. Rob met the love of his life, Mary in 1999, and they were married in 2004 in Rockwall, TX. Rob’s life may have been cut short, but he touched the hearts of so many while he was with us. "ALL IN" best describes Rob, his passions, and all the things he loved to do, whether it was playing golf, mountain biking, riding his Harley, or rescuing feral cats. Rob was an intelligent man who enjoyed researching the newest electronics or gadgets of any kind. He never did anything halfway. He was always "ALL IN". Rob was best known for the love he had for his wife, family, and fur babies, his funny dry sense of humor, and beautiful piercing blue eyes. Rob was a hardworking, dedicated man, and was always considerate of how he treated others. His presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Kerkes, and grandmother, Gloria Kerkes. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary Kerkes, mother, Mary Kerkes-Metz, step-father, Harry Metz, sister, Lori Kerkes, sister-in-law, Bessie Ladd and husband Joe, sister-in-law, Ritza Norris and husband Donnie, sister-in-law, Pamela Seaton, ten nieces and nephews, and thirteen great-nieces and nephews. A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Church in the City, 6005 Dalrock Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088, officiated by Senior Pastor Michael Hankins, and Associate Pastor Larry Traylor.
