Margaret Jane (James) McCroan, 81, a long-time resident of Royse City, Texas, passed from this life on June 23, 2022. Jane was born on July 12, 1940, in Royse City, Texas, to Raymond Marcus James, Sr. and Gladys Margaret (Caughran) James. Jane was a lifelong member at the First United Methodist Church of Royse City. Jane’s joy was family. She loved nothing more than watching one of her kids, grands or greats playing in sports or performing. She had a zest for life and she grabbed it by the horns. Jane will be greatly missed. Margaret is survived by her loving husband, William Don McCroan, Sr.; children: William Don McCroan, Jr. and wife Carla, Mellonie Dalton, and John McCroan and wife Michelle; grandchildren: Michael McCroan, James McCroan and wife Sarah, Edward McCroan and Abbie Hammer, Lindsey Nickens, Carl McCroan, Margaret “Meg” McCroan Gann and husband Brad, and Ian McCroan; great-grandchildren: Camdyn McCroan, Adelaide McCroan, Adleigh McCroan, Genevieve McCroan, Oakland McCroan, and Elle Gann; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 9, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Royse City, TX.
