    Lillie McNamee

    October 8, 1933 - March 14, 2022

On March 14, 2022, Lillie Peyronet McNamee answered God’s final call and took her seat with Him in Heaven. Born Lillie Lewsader on October 8, 1933 in Marshall, Illinois, she was one of six siblings growing up as a hardworking family on a farm in Livingston, Illinois. In 1953, Lillie married Joe Peyronet and together they had two daughters, Peggy and Cindy. They shared 49 loving years of marriage filled with many home renovations, countless games of cards, enjoying the company of family and friends, and always helping others. After Joe passed away in 2002, Lillie married JL McNamee in 2004. Together they ventured on many road trips and international destinations with their loved ones and taught each other new things to cook. With a strong faith in the Lord, Lillie lived her life rooted in Jesus and was an active member of the Meadow View Church of Christ. Lillie was full of joy and her smile, kindness, and sense of humor was infectious. She always loved to sing, especially while cooking something delicious to share or while rocking her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls and holiday sceneries with her sister and was full of entertaining stories to share with friends. Lillie dearly loved her family. Her laughter, energy, and kind spirit will be missed. And although she always called herself a bad egg, she truly was a good egg to everyone around her. Lillie is survived by her daughters, Cindy Peyronet and Peggy Porter (Bob); grandchildren, Robert Porter Jr. (Charlotte) and Michelle Jones (Brad); great-grandchildren, Joseph and Lillie Jones; brother, Andrew Lewsader (Nancy); sister-in-law, Peggy Lewsader, and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by the J.L. McNamee Family: daughter Kim Moore (Rodney); grandchildren Max, Sam, and Georgia Moore, Sheridan and Bethany McNamee. Lillie was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Peyronet, husband J.L. McNamee, and siblings: Marie Layton, Virginia Willis, Hubert Lewsader, and Delbert Lewsader.
