    Betty Sue Williams

    July 19, 1944 - June 1, 2022

    Betty Sue Williams, age 77, of Royse City, TX, passed away June 1, 2022. She was born July 19, 1944, in Collin County, TX, to JP Lindley and Billie Mae (Clayton) Lindley. Betty grew up in Garland, McKinney, and Rockwall. She was a graduate of Rockwall High School. She met her husband Richard Williams, in 1962 while attending high school. They were married June 27, 1964, in Rockwall. In her career, Betty helped run her husband’s glass and mirror business Wylie Glass, and worked for the Rockwall County Clerk for 12 years, which she retired from. Betty was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher for both Faith Temple Baptist Church in Poetry, TX, and First Baptist Church in Rockwall, TX. She enjoyed shopping and cooking. Betty loved being a grandma and adored her grandkids. She loved her family wholeheartedly and will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched. Betty is survived by her loving husband: Richard Williams; sons: Richard Williams III and wife Andria, and John Travis Williams and wife Tricia; grandchildren: John Travis Williams, Jr., Kassidie Williams, Cody Lane Williams and Kylie Williams; great-grandson on the way: James Allen Taylor; sister: Joyce Wallace; brother: Mark Anderson; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and twin brother: Bobby Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall, TX. Interment will follow at Rockwall Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior to the funeral service from 9:00 to 10:00am at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location.
