Eda "Dolly" Wallace passed away March 31, 2010, in Rockwall, TX,  after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Dolly was born in Toronto, Canada, on November 27, 1928, to Italian immigrant parents Graziano Racioppa and Louisa Dimagno.  Being the youngest girl in a family of 9, her 5 sisters would dress her up as their doll; this is where she acquired the nickname Dolly.  She was an extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Dolly was loved by all who knew her. She led a very active life in support of her husband and children and always put others before her own wants and needs. She lived through the roughest of times and the best of times. She experienced life to its fullest and always made any situation she and her family were in the best it possibly could be. Dolly loved to travel with friends and family and was blessed to be able to travel the world experiencing many different cultures and adventures. She is now on her greatest adventure of experiencing everlasting life with our Lord in Heaven. Dolly will be sadly missed by all who knew her but never forgotten.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Wallace of Rockwall; daughters, Denise Kusturin of McKinney and Debra Curington of McKinney; grandchildren, Kirk Wilson, Kristen Wilson, Kali Janshango, David Murphy Jr, Conner Kusturin, Hayden Kusturin, Alex Curington, Carli Curington, Heather Wallace, Holly Wallace and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Rose and Rita; brothers, Art and Eddie; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Dina Wallace, husband Dewey Wallace, and 4 sisters Helen, Pearl , Anne, Beatrice and 1 brother Charlie.

Services will be held 2 P.M. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday April 5th  from 6 to 8 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and Hospice.

I was so sorry when I heard about Auntie Dolly. I have some very fond memories of her when I was younger .I always remember when she married and thinking that Wallace was a cool name and everyone could pronounce it. Your mom was my confirmation sponsor and no one, even a very intelligent priest, could say Racioppa. Even though it's been years since I have seen her, family ties and feelings run deep. She was well loved and loved well. Shirley Fielding(nee Crane)

Dear Kevin, Denise and Debra,

We were so sorry to hear about Aunti Dolly. She lived "large" to me,and I loved her zest for life. Her love for her family and sometimes "out-there" antics always made me smile. She and Uncle Dewey have provided me and my family with many stories to remember and share. We have been blessed to know and love both your mom and dad. Take care during this sad time. Our thoughts are with you. "Catie," Gord & Kendra xo

Debra, Denise & Kevin, Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mother and my friend. I have fond memories of Dewey & Dolly from the years we lived down the road from ya'll. I know I hadn't had true spaghetti sauce until I ate it at the table in Dolly's kitchen. She was always a pleasure to me and I cannot remember ever wondering if Dewey & Dolly cared. I just KNEW them to be trustworthy, honest & warm. As you learn to accept the loss, it is my prayer that you will allow God's comfort to soothe your heart & soul. His love for each of you is never ending. In the true spirit of Friendship, Genifer

Dear Kevin, Denise and Debra

We were all so very sad to hear of Dolly's death. We are glad that she was here twice after Dewey died. We have good memories of those visits. Thank you for arranging for my Mom to travel with Dolly on the cruise in 2006. She has beautiful pictures of them together. Our hearts are with you at this sorrowful time.

To my 'cuz' Kevin, Denise and Debra, I was so sad to hear about your mom. All of your Canadian family have such great memories of both your parents. Those couple of summers I spent in Texas are ones I remember fondly. Aunty Dolly was always so wonderful to me. She was a warm, caring woman with a great sense of humor. She will be missed. Karen

Janet and I were saddened to hear of Dolly's passing. I know the last few years had been difficult. I have great memories of Aunt Dolly when she was still living at her parents, my grandparents, and she, to me, was the glamourous young aunt. Although the meetings were infrequent when she and Dewey moved to Texas, the contacts were always warm and full of love. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

So sorry to hear about Auntie Dolly's death. We have many great memories of Auntie Dolly and Uncle Dewey when they would visit family in Toronto. Uncle Dewey always had interesting stories of life in Dallas.

My Mom Helen will miss Dolly and always remembers how enjoyable it was when they stayed at her house on their visits.

It is sad to see the older generation slowly leaving us, but they will all be fondly remembered.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great sorrow
