Alvin  Mays

Alvin Trammell Mays, age 86 of Rockwall, TX, passed away February 4, 2010. He was born May 24, 1923, in War Eagle, AR, to Alvin Travis & Margaret Augusta (Trammel) Mays.  Alvin proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps, flying 30 missions over Germany without injury. He worked as an auditor for Mobil Oil and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church of Richardson.

 

Alvin is survived by his brother: Dallas Mays & wife Tracy of Overland Park, KS; sister: Margaret Owens of Rockwall, TX; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: William Scott Mays in April 2009.

 

Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Joe Pool officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
